This little sea dragon (which I have come to call 'Lumi') was made to test a few different things; translucent Fimo, acetate layering (to simulate water), vertical sculpting, crystal gradients and glowing Fimo. The idea was to have Lumi protecting a bottle at the top of a pillar that contains a map, while waiting for the tide to return. Below vibes a small ecosystem of deep sea flora nestled around crystal clusters. This suggests that Lumi's treasure is situated amongst old Atlantic ruins - likely within a cavernous environment.
Overall I think that this project worked quite well, particularly considering how convoluted its construction became, but in retrospect I do think that it could be improved by increasing the size of the base and number of pillars. Regardless, it was a lot of fun and I learnt some really cool techniques that I can certainly apply to other projects in the future ~
